Next level charades!

This week's Tabletop episode is the word association game Concept. Wil's guests are Joseph Scrimshaw, Rhett McLaughlin, and Link Neal. Interested in Pictionary? Love a game of Charades? Then this is one you need to check out! Click HERE for the video or keep reading for some info on the game.

Concept is a 4-12 player party game based on word association. The board has lots of pictures which represent certain things, like person, animal, movie etc. One player/team will pick up a card and then choose one of the words or phrases for the other players/team to guess. They will place the question mark piece on a picture that represents the main concept and then add cubes to give more clues relating to it. Sub-concepts can also be added to explain more difficult words.

I've played this game once (at the excellent Thirsty Meeples in Oxford, England) and I liked it. We had 8 people in our group and weren't playing to any score total, just playing for fun without an element of competition which I think this game is perfect for. It can be maddening trying to get your idea across without saying anything! Watching the video makes me want to play it again.

Anyone looking for an easy party game suitable for all the family should definitely check it out. It's basically Pictionary or Charades on steroids!
